It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Lake Mead Academy Eagles had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 49-6 victory over Pershing County. Considering Lake Mead Academy has won ten games by more than 26 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Lake Mead Academy found their leader in underclassman Jerry Meyer iii, who threw for 270 yards and six touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes. Meyer iii is absolutely dominating the passing touchdown category: he's posted at least three every time he's taken the field this season. Antonio Spann also helped out with an impressive 119 receiving yards.
The win (which was Lake Mead Academy's ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 50.56 points. As for Pershing County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.
Lake Mead Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pershing County also has no future games currently scheduled.
