The Langham Creek Lobos have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 72-47 walloping at the hands of St. Michael's on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Langham Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while St. Michael's is ranked fifth).
St. Michael's got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Bo Ogden out in front who scored 19 points. The match was Ogden's 17th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Disu, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds.
Langham Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for St. Michael's, their win bumped their record up to 22-1.
Langham Creek is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Cypress Creek at 1:00 p.m. on January 2nd. Cypress Creek is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. St. Michael's and San Marcos will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully San Marcos focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday.
