The Westlake Demons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Northeast Ohio College Prep 76-21 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Westlake has managed all season.
Westlake got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Anthony Fernandez out in front who scored 18 points. That's the first time this season that Fernandez scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Brucchieri, who scored 12 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Westlake and bumps their season record up to 5-2. As for Northeast Ohio College Prep, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Westlake will play host again and welcome Avon, where tip off is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Northeast Ohio College Prep will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Horizon Science Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 11, 2024.
