Wilmer-Hutchins is 0-10 against the Vikings since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wilmer-Hutchins Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Pinkston Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Wilmer-Hutchins put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They blew past North Dallas, posting a 53-13 win on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Wilmer-Hutchins.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Pinkston over the Bulldogs in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Pinkston blew the Bulldogs out of the water with a 56-18 final score. With Pinkston ahead 35-4 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Pinkston's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaliyah Spencer led the charge by scoring 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cenaya Calhoun- jingles, who scored 14 points along with eight assists and five steals.
Wilmer-Hutchins' record now sits at 12-9. Pinkston's record now sits at 9-23.
Wilmer-Hutchins might still be hurting after the 59-37 defeat they got from the Vikings when the teams last played back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Calhoun- jingles, who scored 28 points along with seven steals. Now that Wilmer-Hutchins knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
