Goodrich waltzed into their matchup  on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with  a   5-1  victory over the Lakeville Falcons. That's more bragging rights for the Martians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Jayden Gohs was a  major factor no matter where she played. She  struck out eight batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  firing off two  home runs and four  RBI while going 2-for-3. That's the most  home runs  she has posted since back in April.
 In other pitching news,  Samantha Hiller looked comfortable as she  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in five consecutive appearances.
 Back at the plate,  Alisyn Raether was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run. That  home run was  her first of the season.
 Goodrich  lost a few balls and  finished the game with three  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've managed all season.
Goodrich pushed their record up to 25-8 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  at home. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Lakeville,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 17-6.
