After a string of four wins, the Aqsa Legends's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 47-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Islamic Foundation. Aqsa was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Islamic Foundation apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played on January 11th.
Despite the loss, Aqsa still got an impressive performance from Noor Saleh, who scored 30 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Saleh has scored all season. Fatmah Sughayar was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Aqsa's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Islamic Foundation, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-9.
Aqsa will head out on the road to challenge Hinsdale Adventist Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hinsdale Adventist Academy's defense has only allowed 26.3 points per game this season, so Aqsa's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Islamic Foundation, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Christian Liberty/Christian Heritage at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
