Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wesson). They breezed past the Salem Wildcats to the tune of 44-9 on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cobras also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Wesson and bumps their season record up to 2-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 49 points in those games. As for Salem, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wesson won't have much time to rest: their next game is against West Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Salem, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll take on Poplarville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 52 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
