The Edmonds-Woodway Warriors will be home for the holidays to greet the Kentlake Falcons at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Edmonds-Woodway knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Kentlake likes a good challenge.
Edmonds-Woodway pushed their score all the way to 57 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 64-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Everett. Edmonds-Woodway has not had much luck with Everett recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite their loss, Edmonds-Woodway saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Aiden Johansen, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. That's the first time this season that Johansen scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Julian Gray, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Kentlake, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. They had to suffer through a rough 76-47 loss at the hands of Beamer. Kentlake was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-22.
Edmonds-Woodway now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Kentlake, they bumped their record down to 0-7 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
