Leonte Carroo, the nation's
No. 71 recruit, committed to Rutgers at a ceremony held on Saturday.
Hailing from talent-laden
Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.), which also features Top 100 recruits
Darius Hamilton (No. 37) and
Yuri Wright (No. 90), Carroo chose the Scarlet Knights over California, Wisconsin, and Boston College.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Carroo was responsible for 926 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior.
At Rutgers, he'll join former Ironmen
Gary Nova and
Paul Canevari, class of 2011 recruits who made their way to Piscataway.
After a notable dry spell of not landing recruits from the North Jersey powerhouse, Rutgers has made it a priority to establish recruiting ties at Don Bosco Prep.
In addition to Hamilton and Wright, the Scarlet Knights are also recruiting Don Bosco Prep athlete
Elijah Shumate.
Carroo becomes the 13th recruit to commit to Rutgers in the class of 2012, joining fellow Garden State receiver
Ruhann Peele.
