On Friday, Peninsula took a serious blow against Pacifica Christian/Orange County, falling 72-29. While losing is never fun, Peninsula can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 788th, while Pacifica Christian/Orange County is ranked 85th).
It was another big night for Logan Stewart, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds for Pacifica Christian/Orange County. The game was Stewart's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Connell, who scored 12 points.
Peninsula's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Pacifica Christian/Orange County, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.
Peninsula will head out on the road to face off against Morningside at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Pacifica Christian/Orange County's road trip will continue as they head out to face JSerra Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on December 9th. JSerra Catholic is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
