The Becker Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Zimmerman Thunder at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Becker knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 contests -- so hopefully Zimmerman likes a good challenge.
Becker pushed their score all the way to 66 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Rocori on the road by a decisive 83-66 margin.
Despite their defeat, Becker saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kyan Blomquist, who scored 20 points, was perhaps the best of all. Blomquist is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 19 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Weiss, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, even though Big Lake scored an imposing 60 points on Monday, Zimmerman still came out on top. Zimmerman secured a 64-60 W over Big Lake.
Becker has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. As for Zimmerman, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-14 record this season.
Becker strolled past Zimmerman in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 81-66. Does Becker have another victory up their sleeve, or will Zimmerman turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
