Life Oak Cliff is 0-6 against Ranchview since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Life Oak Cliff Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Ranchview Wolves at 6:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Life Oak Cliff sitting on seven straight wins and Ranchview on five.
Last Saturday, Life Oak Cliff kept a clean sheet against Village Tech. Everything went their way against the Viper Squid as they made off with a 8-0 victory. Life Oak Cliff's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matches.
They hit Village Tech with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Vivian Vu (4),
Karla Ambrosio (2), and
Alexandra Meza (2).
Meanwhile, Ranchview can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They put the hurt on Summit International Prep with a sharp 6-0 victory. Given Ranchview's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 365th, while Summit International Prep is ranked 735th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Life Oak Cliff pushed their record up to 8-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those three games. As for Ranchview, their win bumped their record up to 8-5-1.
Life Oak Cliff suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Ranchview when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Can Life Oak Cliff avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
