Having just played yesterday, the Heritage Academy Heroes will head out on the road to face off against the Glenview College Prep Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Monday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Heritage Academy beat Premier Prep- PHHoenix 58-53.
Heritage Academy relied on the efforts of Kaden Bergman, who scored 14 points, and Ryan Nelson, who scored 20 points. That's the first time this season that Nelson scored 15 or more points.
Meanwhile, Glenview College Prep's six-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They took down BASIS - Scottsdale 59-40. That 19 points margin sets a new team best for Glenview College Prep this season.
Heritage Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Glenview College Prep, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9.
Heritage Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Glenview College Prep when the teams last played back in February of 2022, winning 68-56. The rematch might be a little tougher for Heritage Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
