Taconic Hills is a perfect 5-0 against Germantown since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Titans will be playing at home against the Clippers at 4:30 p.m. Taconic Hills is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Taconic Hills nor Maple Hill made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Titans put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 12-5 victory. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Tristan Super made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with three runs and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Francis Conners-Schmid, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gavin Hartka, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.
Taconic Hills lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Germantown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 10-5 to Maple Hill.
Germantown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Taconic Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Taconic Hills has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Germantown struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Taconic Hills took their win against Germantown in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 16-0 score. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Clippers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
