Barron dropped their record down to 11-7-1 on Saturday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins at home. They lost  9-0 to the Northwestern Tigers.  Barron saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Micahlee Skjerly, who  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base.
As for Northwestern, the  win was  the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won five games by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
On Northwestern's side,  Ellie Peterson was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only two  hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Peterson has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  run. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in May of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Sydni Madison was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  three  RBI gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Claire Nielsen, who  went 1-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI.
