If Utah Military Academy - Hill Field wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played American Heritage, they should've done a better job of containing Joey Haymond. The American Heritage Patriots walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Utah Military Academy - Hill Field Thunderbirds on Saturday for which the team can thank Haymond, who had 15 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (two).

Will Beckwith also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season. Beckwith is also crushing it when it comes to kills: he's had at least five every time he's taken the court this season.

The win got American Heritage back to even at 4-4. As for Utah Military Academy - Hill Field, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

American Heritage has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Carbon on the 18th. Utah Military Academy - Hill Field has also already played their next contest (against Ben Lomond), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
