Baseball Recap: Pequea Valley's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Pequea Valley came into Wednesday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Lancaster Catholic Crusaders by a score of 4-1 on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Braves also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Stephen Smucker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Dominick Burrell was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Pequea Valley picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Lancaster Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Coming up, Pequea Valley will welcome Tulpehocken at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Lancaster Catholic, they are taking a road trip to face off against Eastern York at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
