After two games on the road, Ross is heading back home. They will take on the Harrison Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ross and the Wildcats are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
Ross pushed their score all the way to 58 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 74-58 bruising from Milford. Ross was down 62-39 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, Harrison posted their closest victory since December 19, 2023 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Talawanda 53-50. Given Harrison's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 354th, while the Brave are ranked 731st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Luke Rogers continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals. He has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Hank Rotert, who scored six points along with five steals.
Ross' loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Harrison, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Ross came up short against the Wildcats in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 63-58. Can Ross avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
