The Cross Trojans will square off against the Baptist Hill Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cross will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Cross is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 66-14 victory over Bethune-Bowman. Considering the Trojans have won seven matchups by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Mah'Ky Green, who rushed for 188 yards and three TDs on only 12 carries. Those 188 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Harris, who threw for 162 yards and three touchdowns while completing 90.9% of his passes.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cross was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 364 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 162 rushing yards in six consecutive contests.
Cross didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Caden Ramsey and Green. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: Green posted at least 137 rushing yards in the fourth games prior.
Meanwhile, Baptist Hill unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 20-14 to Scott's Branch.
Cross will need to focus on slowing down Brayden Franklin, one of several Baptist Hill players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 35 yards and one score, and also threw for 134 yards on ten of 22 attempts. Another player making a difference was EK Thompson, who rushed for 124 yards.
Even if they lost, Baptist Hill's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Kelvin Smalls , Jr with two. He also made 20 total tackles, which is notable because Baptist Hill is 5-1 when he posts at least three total tackles, but 1-2 otherwise. Martrell Wright got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Baptist Hill's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Cross, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
Everything came up roses for Cross against Baptist Hill in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 36-0 victory. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bobcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
