The Alabama School for the Deaf Silent Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 62-38 loss at the hands of Victory Christian. Alabama School for the Deaf has not had much luck with Victory Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Haley Hendrix was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 34 points and 22 rebounds for Victory Christian. That makes it 20 consecutive games in which Hendrix has scored at least 25% of Victory Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Amelia Haney, who scored 12 points along with eight steals and six rebounds.
Alabama School for the Deaf's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Victory Christian, they pushed their record up to 14-6 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Alabama School for the Deaf will take on Gaylesville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gaylesville is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak. As for Victory Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Holy Family Catholic at 5:00 p.m. Holy Family Catholic comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 16 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
