The Tri-Valley Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Notre Dame Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tri-Valley will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak alive.
Even though Kutztown scored an imposing 61 points on Saturday, Tri-Valley still came out on top. Tri-Valley strolled past Kutztown with points to spare, taking the game 75-61. Given Tri-Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while Kutztown is ranked 632nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Noah Porter, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Caden Leonard, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Notre Dame pushed their score all the way to 74 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Tamaqua by a score of 76-74. Notre Dame has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
Tri-Valley's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Notre Dame, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
Tri-Valley lost to Notre Dame at home by a decisive 67-50 margin in their previous matchup back in February of 2020. Can Tri-Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
