It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Buford Wolves can now relate to. They took a 19-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams. Buford's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Dylan Raiola threw for 133 yards while completing 76.5% of his passes.
Tyshun White was his top target, picking up 48 receiving yards.
The critical scores for Grayson came from Amari Alston and Alex Sanchez.
The team won by holding Buford to a paltry 123 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Grayson's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid the passer out eight times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Tyler Atkinson and his three sacks.
Buford's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Grayson, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Buford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Grayson will look to defend their home field on Friday against Milton at 7:30 p.m. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Milton: 14.1, Grayson: 15.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
