Horizon is 1-9 against the Matadors since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Horizon Scorpions will head out on the road to square off against the Parkland Matadors at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for Horizon and four for the Matadors.
On Friday, Horizon lost to the Highlanders at home by a decisive 48-32 margin.
Meanwhile, Parkland suffered a rough 64-44 defeat at the hands of the Knights on Friday. Parkland has not had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Horizon has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season. As for Parkland, their loss dropped their record down to 9-19.
Things could have been worse for Horizon, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-47 loss to the Matadors when the teams last played back in January. Can Horizon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
