The Oneida Indians have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost to William Blount on the road by a decisive 70-51 margin on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Oneida has scored all season.
Leading William Blount to victory were Grady Robertson and Caden Windle. Robertson scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and five assists, while Windle scored 20 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. The game was Windle's 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Scarlett, who scored 12 points.
Oneida's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for William Blount, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Campbell County the next time they take the court. William Blount will head out to face Campbell County at 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, while Oneida will head out to face them at 11:15 a.m. on January 2, 2024.
