It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Skipstone Academy Warriors had no problem doing just that on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Knights 21-18. Winning may never get old, but Skipstone Academy sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Leading Skipstone Academy to victory were Matthew Rambeau and Ethan Miller. Rambeau rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns, while Miller rushed for 126 yards.
Calvary Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of De'andre Heard, who gained 211 total yards, and Luke Zevac who threw for 209 yards and a touchdown on only 18 passes.
Skipstone Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Calvary Christian, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5.
