Softball Recap: Pineville Drops Season-High Score on Many

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pineville). They put the hurt on the Many Tigers with a sharp 22-1 victory on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won 20 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Pineville's ninth in a row) raised their record to 23-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Many, they moved to 11-7 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pineville will square off against Calvary Baptist Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Calvary Baptist Academy will roll in looking for their 27th straight win, something Pineville surely won't give up without a fight. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Winnfield has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.71 runs per game on average), something Many will no doubt try to take advantage of.
