Walker (Marietta, Ga.) had a comfortable lead entering the fourth quarter, but used 19 fourth quarter points to seal the 35-6 victory over
Mount Pisgah Christian (Johns Creek, Ga.).
The Wolverines were up 16-6 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown in the first quarter.
Walker put up 19 points in the fourth quarter en route to the win. WHS scored on three rushing touchdowns in the quarter, including two by
Evan Kasian.
The Marietta school's standout player in the win was Kasian. The senior running back ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored 14 touchdowns on the season.
Austin Harper made a difference for the Patriots. The senior running back caught one touchdown.
Mount Pisgah Christian's lone touchdown came on an 18-yard pass from
Aaron Winchester to Harper in the first quarter.
The defeat comes as a step back for Mount Pisgah Christian, which notched a 54-0 victory over Southwest Atlanta Christian in its previous outing.
Walker (5-0) will play a A Region 6B game against Fellowship Christian next week, while Mount Pisgah Christian (3-2) will take on King's Ridge Christian also in a A Region 6B game.
