Savannah is 0-5 against the Warriors since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Savannah Savages will be playing at home against the St. Pius X Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Tuesday, Savannah was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 39-38 to the Bluejays.
Meanwhile, St. Pius X was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 48-42 to the Blue Jays.
Despite the defeat, St. Pius X saw an underclassman step up: Kate Sell scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sell has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayley Tischinski, who scored nine points along with two blocks.
Savannah's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-11. As for St. Pius X, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
