The Rampart Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell to Fountain-Fort Carson 45-39. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Rampart has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Rampart saw an underclassman step up: Theodore Wilson scored 12 points along with three blocks. It was the first time this season that Wilson posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Adeel Johnson el, who scored ten points along with four blocks.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fountain-Fort Carson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tre'sean Washington, who scored seven points along with seven assists and three steals. Alexander Rivera was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
Rampart has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rampart will square off against the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Vista Ridge is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, they will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
