They really took it to Potter's House Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 75-40 victory at home. Given Lee's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Pumas are ranked 671st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Potter's House Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Abram VerWys, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. VerWys also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathaniel Kuipers, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Lee's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.5 points per game. As for Potter's House Christian, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Lee will head out on the road to challenge the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ionia is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Potter's House Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Muskegon Catholic Central has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 203 points over their last three games.
