Northside waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 50-44 W against the UIC College Prep Firecats.

Despite the loss, UIC College Prep still got an impressive performance from Adam Matthews, who posted ten points along with four steals and three blocks. That's the most points Matthews has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Andre Boone Jr, who earned six points.

Northside pushed their record up to 11-17 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games. As for UIC College Prep, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-11.

Northside has already played their next game, a 104-48 defeat against St. Patrick on the 21st. As for UIC College Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-28 win against Wolcott College Prep on the 20th.
