Boquet Valley is 5-0 against Lake Placid since February of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Boquet Valley Griffins will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lake Placid Bombers at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Boquet Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Tuesday.
Boquet Valley put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season. They blew past Keene Central 55-24 on the road. The win was just what Boquet Valley needed coming off of a 71-35 loss in their prior matchup.
It was another big night for Ella Lobdell, who scored 19 points along with eight steals and six rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Boquet Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Pulsifer, who scored seven points along with seven steals.
Lake Placid won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune two weeks ago. They were beaten by Seton Catholic Central 46-8. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lake Placid has scored all season.
Boquet Valley is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Lake Placid, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.
Everything came up roses for Boquet Valley against Lake Placid when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 62-28 victory. Will Boquet Valley repeat their success, or does Lake Placid have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
