The Wilson Wildcats will take on the Midlothian Heritage Jaguars at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Wilson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 15-8 margin over Molina. The win was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on three straight.

London Mcnealy was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Savannah Vargas, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Midlothian Heritage waltzed into their contest on Friday with 15 straight wins... but they left with 16. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Trojans a 16-0 shutout.
Skeylah Shirley was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Taylor Bilderback, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played. Ava Robinson was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Midlothian Heritage was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .536. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in 15 consecutive matchups.
Midlothian Heritage pushed their record up to 26-7 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Wilson, their record now sits at 21-6.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Wilson has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .623. However, it's not like Midlothian Heritage struggles in that department as they've averaged .480. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Wilson might still be hurting after the 8-2 loss they got from Midlothian Heritage when the teams last played back in March of 2022. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
