Franklin County had to settle for second on Tuesday, but Sarah Ham sure wasn't going down easily. Ham wasn't messing around, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). The pitching appearance was her tenth straight with five or more strikeouts.

Looking ahead, Ham and Franklin County will head out on the road to challenge Wewahitchka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Seahawks got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Gators thanks in part to Ham: she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched.
