The East Butler Tigers suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2023 on Tuesday. Their rough 43-19 loss to Shelby-Rising City might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points East Butler has scored all season.
Madison Dewitt was East Butler's leading scorer, having posted nine points.
Madalynn Marsh held things down on the boards with 14 rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
This is the second loss in a row for East Butler and nudges their season record down to 6-8. As for Shelby-Rising City, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Butler will take on Meridian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Meridian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Monday. As for Shelby-Rising City, Shelby-Rising City and Nebraska Christian will face off on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
