Baseball Recap: Pocatello Has No Trouble Against Century

Pocatello was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Century on Wednesday. The Thunder put the hurt on the Diamondbacks with a sharp 12-4 win. The Thunder haven't had any issues with the Diamondbacks recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

JORDAN WILDE spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on five hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Pocatello is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 1-10 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Pocatello got a big performance out of NATE ROGERS, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave ROGERS a new career-high in RBI (three). KACHE STUCKI was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-5.

Pocatello's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Century, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pocatello beat Century by a score of 7-2 later that day.
