The Indian Creek Braves will head out on the road to face off against the Tri-West Hendricks Bruins at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Indian Creek is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
Indian Creek's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against West Vigo, sneaking past 2-0.

Nick Winters
04/30/25 vs West Vigo | 12 |
04/24/25 vs Triton Central | 10 |
04/21/25 @ Cloverdale | 5 |
04/16/25 vs Edgewood | 5 |
04/08/25 vs Whiteland | 8 |
The result came thanks to Nick Winters's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Indian Creek's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Talan Steinway, who went 1-for-3 with one run.
Tri-West Hendricks let Triton Central stack six runs on them in the fifth inning on Friday but luckily Tri-West Hendricks prevailed anyway. The Bruins walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Tigers. The win was familiar territory for the Bruins, who have now won three contests in a row.
Luke Haboush looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched.
At the plate, Ethan Frye and Graham Willhelm did most of the damage at the plate: Frye went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Willhelm went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Willhelm a new career-high. Eric Dean also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Tri-West Hendricks' victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Indian Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Indian Creek has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Tri-West Hendricks struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Indian Creek's way against Tri-West Hendricks when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Indian Creek made off with an 18-10 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Braves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
