The East Rutherford Cavaliers can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 62-13 win over Patton at home. The win was familiar territory for East Rutherford who now have five in a row.
East Rutherford's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jada Whitesides, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Whitesides has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 18 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kadence Vanover, who scored 21 points along with two steals.
East Rutherford pushed their record up to 19-2 with that victory, which was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 40.7 points. As for Patton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 14 of their last 15 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season.
East Rutherford will challenge the Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hendersonville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 108th). As for Patton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hilltoppers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
