Baseball Game Preview: Riesel Indians vs. Itasca Wampus Cats

For the second straight game, Riesel will face off against Itasca. The Indians will challenge the Wampus Cats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Riesel is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Itasca, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted since March 7th.

For Itasca's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gage Bassett, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Riesel has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Itasca, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-4.
