The Halifax Wildcats entered their tilt with the Antietam Mountaineers with 13 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 14. Halifax had just enough and edged the Mountaineers out 49-47. For Halifax, this counts as revenge for the 62-53 defeat the Mountaineers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Several Mountaineers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was AJ Schiefly, who scored 14 points along with three steals. Julious Williams was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
Halifax pushed their record up to 18-2 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.1 points per game. As for Antietam, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.
Halifax will head out on the road to face off against the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Antietam, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Bullets at 7:30 p.m.
