The Willow Lions lost against the East Jefferson Warriors back in December of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Willow took a 42-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of East Jefferson. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Willow in their matchups with East Jefferson: they've now lost six in a row.
East Jefferson found their leader in underclassman Anyrie Perkins , who scored 21 points along with 7 steals and 6 rebounds. The game was Perkins 's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyson Gueho, who scored 12 points.
Willow's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for East Jefferson, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Willow will head out on the road to face off against Cohen at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Jefferson, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome East St. John at 5:30 p.m. on December 7th.
