The Carson Senators will be playing at home against the Damonte Ranch Mustangs at 2:00 p.m. The timing isn't great for Carson: they have been struggling with 15 straight losses at home, while Damonte Ranch has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
On Thursday, things could have been worse for Carson, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-42 loss to Reno. Carson has not had much luck with Reno recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Carson got a solid performance out of Landon Hoff, who scored 15 points. Hoff's trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for five games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan O'dell, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, even though Reed scored an imposing 71 points on Thursday, Damonte Ranch still came out on top. Damonte Ranch walked away with a 78-71 victory over Reed. Given Damonte Ranch's advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Reed is ranked 31st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Carson has been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. As for Damonte Ranch, their victory bumped their record up to 19-2.
Carson was dealt a bruising 64-29 defeat at the hands of Damonte Ranch when the teams last played back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Damonte Ranch's Jace Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
