After a string of four wins, Bethel Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 61-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of New Life Academy. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bethel Christian of the 58-43 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead New Life Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Dunn, who scored 21 points. Dunn hasn't dropped below 17 points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Dontrel Lee, who scored 14 points.
Bethel Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6. As for New Life Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.
Bethel Christian will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Rock Church at 6:00 p.m. New Life Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
