The Pingry School took care of business in their home opener on Saturday (and then some). They blew past the St. Luke's Storm 53-14 at home.
Ryan Moye had an outrageously good game as he threw for 394 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.6 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 62 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Rafferty Harris was Moye's top target, picking up 175 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to The Pingry School's defense and their three sacks. In that department, Harris was the leader with two. His longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, The Pingry School was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 518 total yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Luke's only gained 332.
Although St. Luke's took the loss, they still got scores from Marco Andrade and Jordan Goodman.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Pingry School will welcome Montclair Kimberley Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. Luke's, they will be playing at home against Peddie at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. St. Luke's is looking for their season?s first win.
