McGregor is 1-9 against Cromwell since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The McGregor Mercuries' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Cromwell Cardinals at 7:15 p.m. on December 8th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
McGregor might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 75-62 to Two Harbors, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for McGregor in their matchups with Two Harbors: they've now lost six in a row.
Even though Cromwell has not done well against Barnum recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Cromwell came out on top against Barnum by a score of 65-58. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cromwell.
Brady Dahl was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 24 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Nyberg, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
The losses dropped McGregor to 0-3 and Two Harbors to 1-1.
McGregor ended up a good deal behind Cromwell when the teams last played back in March, losing 64-49. Can McGregor avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
