It was a good run, but Lake Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 62-53 to the Kenston Bombers. The match marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Lake Catholic lost, don't look at Aiden Webb. Despite the final result, he posted 14 points. Frankie Trinetti was another key player, putting up four points and four steals.

Even though they lost, Lake Catholic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kenston to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Burge, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 15 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Rogers, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Lake Catholic's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2. As for Kenston, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Lake Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-54 loss against Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy on the 3rd. As for Kenston, they will host North at 7:30 p.m. on January 7th. North has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests.
