If South Tahoe was feeling good  fresh off their  33-0 takedown of Dayton last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings were beaten by the Fernley Vaqueros 54-14 on Friday. The  defeat   continues a  trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Vaqueros: they've now lost seven in a row.

 Even if they lost, South Tahoe's defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by  Jackson Letton and  Kezdon Wigart, who racked up  four sacks between them. Wigart has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  sack the last three times he's  played.
  Keeshawn Love had another great game (as  he tends to do), rushing for 241 yards and three  scores on only eight carries for Fernley. Love's longest rush was for an incredible 81 yards.
The  loss was their first  at home , dropping their record down to 3-2. As for Fernley,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 4-1.
 South Tahoe wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  contest,  a  50-7  defeat against Elko on the 19th. As for Fernley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  38-14  victory against Spring Creek on the 19th.
