The Halstead Dragons have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Council Grove Braves at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Halstead beat Larned 47-42.
Meanwhile, Council Grove really took it to Eureka for the full four quarters, racking up a 60-33 victory on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-12.
Council Grove's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brycen Palmquist, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Palmquist hasn't dropped below 15 points for five straight games. Kyzer Spittles was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds.
Halstead's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Council Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season.
