The Sioux Valley Cossacks are taking a road trip to  square off against the Dell Rapids Quarriers  on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Sioux Valley comes in on 11 and Dell Rapids on four.
Sioux Valley's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Tuesday's  struggle, when Lennox hitters got past them. The Cossacks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  12-11  victory over the Orioles  on Tuesday.
Sioux Valley got a  massive  performance out of  Abby Axtell, who  went 2-for-3 with one  home run and three  runs. That's the most  runs  Axtell has posted since back in April of 2024.  Savana Guthmiller was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run and three  RBI.
 They weren't the only ones working in the  home run department: Sioux Valley  lost a few balls and  finished the game with three  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile, Dell Rapids got the win against Wagner  on Tuesday by a conclusive  12-3. The result was nothing new for the Quarriers, who have now won ten contests by nine  runs or more  so far this season.
 Dell Rapids' win was  their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 13-3. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Sioux Valley, their win bumped their record up to 17-6.
