The Star Valley Braves were the 47-28 winner over the Rock Springs Tigers when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Star Valley fell 41-29 to Rock Springs on Saturday. Star Valley has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Star Valley's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Emily Dana, who scored 13 points along with three steals, and Sheridan Coles who scored six points along with five rebounds and four steals. Dana hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games.
Star Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Rock Springs, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Star Valley will take on Jackson Hole at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Jackson Hole comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last 12 games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Rock Springs' road trip will continue as they head out to face Riverton at 5:00 p.m. on February 15th.
